NBA trade rumors: Cavs, Knicks discussing potential Kyrie Irving-Carmelo Anthony deal
It’s looking like Cleveland’s Big 3 may not involve Kyrie Irving next season.
The Cavaliers are reportedly considering a three-team trade that would send Irving to the Knicks in exchange for Carmelo Anthony, according to Yahoo Sports. Initial reports suggest the third team involved may be the Suns. An ESPN report suggested the Knicks would also send future first-rounders to Cleveland in order to get rid of Anthony get Irving.
Well, that’s one way to describe the Mavericks’ play this season.
After starting 3-15, Dallas has played .500 ball since and is within striking distance of the eighth seed in the Western Conference despite a makeshift lineup, which on Monday included rookie point guard Yogi Ferrell scoring a career-high 19 points in the second game of a 10-day contract.
In Ferrell’s first game on Sunday, he made game-clinching free throws in a win against another championship contender in the Spurs.
I’m happy for the guys, Carlisle said in a more appropriate response Monday. With the things that we’ve gone through this year, to win two games like this just gives you energy.
With a home game against Philadelphia on Wednesday, the first of four consecutive against teams with losing records, the Mavericks are suddenly a team to be talking about.
The Bills likely will line up in their nickel package more often than their base 4-3, but for those base situations, Ramon Hunter will be pushed by rookies Matt Milano and Tanner Vallejo at weak side linebacker.
