Cavs owner Dan Gilbert apologizes for controversial Detroit ad
Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert is apologizing after a graphic on a downtown Detroit building created a social media firestorm.
The graphic was part of an ad campaign for Gilbert’s company, Bedrock Detroit.
Allen has had a nice rebound adjusting to the college game after a rough first month. Since Dec. 17, Allen is averaging about 14 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks per game on 56 percent shooting. That’s solid, but he still hasn’t quite figured out how to move the ball and can be a black hole in terms of movement. His 5.4 assist rate is low for a non-superb athlete big man, and even worse his turnover rate is still up over 21. He’s extremely young, though, and could be a first-round pick if he declares.
At 6-8, Kurucs is a big wing who can handle the ball, utilizing a nice, low crossover move to change direction and pace against defenders. He’s also athletic enough that he should become a good, switchable defender in time. He and fellow draft-eligible prospect Anzejs Pasecniks will pair with Kristaps Porzingis on the Latvian national team for years to come in what should become a golden generation for the country since its split from the Soviet Union.
Anunoby will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury. Coach Tom Crean said at his press conference on Tuesday that Anunoby’s surgery was successful, but we don’t have exact details on the nature of the injury. Having said that, I’ve only slid him down six spots due to the uncertain nature of the injury. His stock was slipping before the injury, as his offensive game had not shown a ton of growth from his freshman season to his sophomore campaign.
